Cafe Nero

An opportunity for a quick coffee before a meeting led me to Cafe Nero in the Trafford Centre. Not somewhere I would normally go - I'm a Costa Coffee fan myself (I know they pay tax) but, it was handy so in I duly popped.

And I was delighted to see what I assumed was a coffee cake on offer.

Well, sort of ... it's actually what they call a cappuccino cake. I have to say that it was not bad... not masses of icing - but three layers of it - 1 on top and 2 internal - although the icing was sweeter than I would normally like. The very strong coffee taste to the sponge was a real bonus, though.

Definitely recommended if it's all that's available
